Ashley Graham is pleased as punch with the news of her pregnancy that she decided to share the good news with all of her fans on social media. She made a sweet, emotional video for her Instagram account announcing that she is expecting her first baby.
Graham, 31 years old, has been married nine years to Justin Ervin. They celebrated their ninth anniversary by celebrating the news of their growing family with friends, family and fans on Instagram. In her post she said the following: ” Nine years ago, I married the love of my life. It has been the best journey with my favorite person in the world! Today, we are feeling so blessed, grateful and excited to celebrate our GROWING FAMILY! Happy anniversary, life is about to get even better.”
But the post didn’t stop there, Graham’s husband wanted to share his joy with the world too. So he posted a picture of him kissing his wife on the cheek while holding up a picture of their most recent sonogram picture.
His post was even more emotional than his wife’s by stating the following: ” To my forever love and daily inspiration. Happy anniversary! These nine years have played out like a lifetime. I guess it’s because my life really started once you came into it. Now that we’ve made a life together, let’s make a life together. I love you and I love us. All of us..”
Honestly, these two posts just reached out and touched our hearts, such an honest hearted display of true love despite many obstacles. It just goes to show that celebrity couples can have happy and fulfilling marriages, they just need to stop concentrating on themselves and pay attention to their partner.
We are positive that Graham and Justin are already showering their baby with love and will do more so when Graham gives birth. It will be interesting to see how Graham adapts her busy modeling career to her new full-time job as a mommy. When she isn’t modeling, she can be found fighting for body-positivity and inclusivity within the fashion community. She is known and loved for accepting herself for just being herself and not trying to fit into what the world perceived as a typical model.
Graham came out in an interview with Allure a few months ago, that she wants to educate her children and be prepared for hard conversations about race, as she is a white woman married to a black man. She says she knows their future child is going to ask her, “how come Mommy’s white and Daddy’s black.” She wants to be prepared, as recently her husband suffered racial prejudice in Italy when someone spat on him walking down the street.
She wants to help her children embrace their heritage and uniqueness, by never being ashamed of who they are. She admits it will be a challenge to take a painful moment, such as what happened to her husband in Italy and transform it into a positive teaching moment.
We are positive that Graham will be able to tackle this new frontier successfully just as she has down in the fashion industry by becoming one of the most famous plus-size models.
